Kirsten Sanders has a lifelong passion for music, born of her certainty that each of us have thoughts and feelings within us worth expressing. She began her study of piano at age three, and over the years, extended her study to viola, violin, oboe, trombone, trumpet, and choral music. She performs a variety of styles, including classical, jazz, folk, sacred, and contemporary genres. She has studied under Edmonton pianist Sheila Wright, with Edmonton Symphony Orchestra violist Stefan Jungkind, and in the University of Ottawa’s Baccalaureate of Music program with violist Rennie Regehr. As a home educator and former tutor, she enjoys attentive teaching to help others to grow and obtain their educational goals. Kirsten is pleased to be returning to music teaching after time spent focused on her young children.
